Mystery; Nature defies Gravity; Kyamwilu in Machakos County.

I keep saying wonders will never end! Do you agree?

Kyamwilu or Kituluni is an example of the place. At this place nature defies gravity.
Now let’s know what the Newton’s law of gravity says.

Gravity is a force that pulls or attracts all objects towards the Earth’s center. Gravity has a major effect while driving vehicles uphill or downhill. When driving uphill, gravity’s it means that the force of gravity is working against your direction. In this way you’ll need to use more energy and acceleration. On the other hand driving downhill the force of gravity will accelerate your vehicle to move at a higher speed to the extent of losing control or apply brakes.

Kyamwilu hill defies gravity
It is in Kyamwilu that nature defies the law of gravity in that objects tend to move uphill easily than downhill. These are the things which happen;
If you park your car in a neutral gear. Surprisingly the car Starts to move uphill instead of downhill.
If you spill water, expectation is that they flow downhill but in Kyamwilu hill it flows uphill.
When walking downhill a person uses more energy unlike when walking uphill.
Discovery of the hill.

It is said that one day a white settler was driving through the hill and the engine of his car heated. He decided to draw water to cool his engine. When he came he was surprised to find that his car was moving uphill. The car was actually on a neutral gear.

Myth
The members of the community surrounding the hill have a myth regarding the mysteries that explain the occurrence of the same phenomena.
Now, it is said that there once lived to friends, Mwilu and Kyalo. They did everything together as you all know the behavior of true friends. Their origin and relatives are not clear. In the near hills lived a beautiful woman named Mwende. Kyalo was the first to meet the woman after which he informed his beloved friend Mwilu. They approached the woman and they were all married to Mwende. Mwende served them well, spending one night at Mwilus’ hut and the other night at Kyalos’ hut. As time went by Mwende bore a baby boy. As time went by the two friends quarrelled for Mwendes’ attention. Unfortunately, there came a mysterious epidemic that swept all the people not excluding Mwende, the two friends and the boy. The mysteries surrounding the place maybe caused by the struggle by the two men to get Mwendes’attention and to whom the child belonged to.
