MURSIK: URITHI TAJIRI WA KALENJIN!
Mursik, ni maziwa iliyochacha Katika jamii ya Kalenjin, Ni maziwa ambayo ni nadra sana kukosekana wakati Wa mlo au sherehe yoyote Ile. Kama mpenzi Wa maziwa hii, nimeweza kusoma na kusikiliza mengi kuhusu mchakato mzima Wa kutengeneza Mursik Katika jamii ya Kalenjin.
Kalenjin ni mojawapo ya jamii Katika ukanda Wa blonde la Ufa. Ni jamii yenye kabila au lahaja nane. Ni mojawapo kati ya jamii iliyo na msimamo dhabiti Kwa utamaduni na Lugha Yao. Mshikamano wao na maziwa ya Mursik imekita mizizi ambayo si rahisi kuchimbua si tu kutokana na thamani ya lishe Bali kama msimbo Wa utamaduni wao.

Safari yangu ilianza Katika kuelewa mchakato mzima Wa kuandaa Mursik.
Mwanzo ni lazima kuwepo na kifaa Cha kuivisha na kuhifadhi maziwa ya Mursik. Chombo hiki kinaitwa Sotet. Katika jamii ya Kalenjin Mursik haifai kuwekwa Kwa kifaa chochote isipokuwa Sotet. Kabla ya kuweka maziwa Katika chombo hiki Kuna mambo ambayo ni lazima yafanywe. Kwanza Sotet hupakwa makala inayotoka Katika mti unaoitwa Itet/Senetwet Kwa Kiingereza ( African Senna), hii ndio maana Mursik ya Kalenjin Huwa na muonekano Wa chembechembe ya rangi nyeusi. Kamwe hutampata Jamaa Wa Kalenjin akinywa Mursik isiyokuwa na rangi ya makaa. Rangi hii huipa maziwa ya Mursik mvuto na ladha ya kupendeza.
Tofauti na maziwa ya kawaida, Mchakato Wa kutengeneza Mursik haihusishi Wala hairuhusiwi kuchemshwa maziwa. Hata hivyo, maziwa iliyokamuliwa kutoka Kwa ngombe au mbuzi huchujwa kuondoa uchafu Kisha huwekwa Katika Sotet ili kuanza safari ya kuchacha.
Baada ya hayo Sotet hufungwa Kwa ustadi Wa Hali ya juu. Kwa muda wa siku tano, mchakato wa asili wa kuchachusha hubadilisha maziwa kuwa ya kupendeza ambayo ni Mursik. Mbinu hii tata inahitaji utajiri wa maarifa na utaalamu, unaotolewa na kupitishwa kupitia vizazi.
Katika jamii nyingine ya Kalenjin ili kuongeza ladha na sababu za kutofautiana kitamafuni(Kuhama na tofauti ya kimaeneo) maziwa hii huongezwa damu kidogo kutoka Kwa fahali. Tajriba au uzoefu huu Wa kuhifadhi utamaduni ni mojawapo ya mambo ya kufurahisha na kuonyesha hadhi Wa Afrika.

For the Kalenjin people, Mursik holds not only its rich taste but also several health benefits. Believed to aid in preventing constipation and kidney ailments, this fermented milk has become a favorite among athletes, most of whom have cherished it since childhood.
Kulingana na jamii ya Kalenjin, Mursik ina majukumu mengi sana tofauti na kuwa chakula. Ina faida kadhaa za kiafya. Inaaminika kusaidia katika kuzuia maradhi ya figo, maziwa haya yaliyochachushwa yamekuwa kipenzi miongoni mwa wanariadha, ambao wengi wao wameyathamini tangu utotoni.

As I savored each sip of Mursik, I couldn’t help but feel a profound connection to the Kalenjin community and their way of life. This journey of discovery has left me with a newfound appreciation for the cultural significance of this unique dairy product.
Nilipokuwa nikifurahia kila funda la Mursik, sikuweza kujizuia kuhisi uhusiano wa kina na jamii ya Wakalenjin na mtindo wao wa maisha. Safari hii ya ugunduzi imeniacha na mambo mengi ya kusoma, kusikiliza, kuchimbua na baadaye kuwaletea maarifa haya.

Kimsingi, Mursik ni zaidi ya kinywaji tu; ni ushuhuda hai wa urithi tajiri wa Wakalenjin na kushiriki katika uzoefu huu kumekuwa sehemu muhimu ya safari yangu ya kupekua maarifa kuhusu Afrika na Utamaduni wao.
