Shairi ya Kimapinduzi

Mgongo wake unauma.
Dhiki nzito kuliko mzigo alioubeba.
Familia yake nyumbani inalia,
na leo anarudi nyumbani
Mwanamapinduzi Hakiki.
Lakini akiwa hana lolote la kuwaonyesha watoto wake
Na mkewe aliyechoka
Zaidi ya simulizi.
Papa alitoka kupigania kesho
Japo ameleta vurugu
Ana matumaini kwa namna fulani alitikisa mlalaheri,
Zinazojificha chini ya uongo.
Papa alitoka, kwenda
kuomba kwa amani, mkate na chai, tafadhali
Lakini vitoa machozi kapewa
Hata hivyo ana matumaini
Italeta mabadiliko.
Na kesho mtakapokuwa viongozi
Karibu na hiyo nguzo ya Tom mboya,
Utasimama na kusema
Papa alikuwa na masuala Kwa kiongozi na si mengi,
Lakini alipigania kile alichojua ni kweli!
